Angela Walker’s exhibition

2014

Angela was born at Woomera and lived on the Coondambo Station in the northern tip of the South Australia during her early childhood. She moved to the Wimmera region in 1980 and has been working as a nurse for 30 years. She discovered painting after an injury and now wants to contribute to people’s wellbeing in a new way. Always inspired and passionate about the beauty of our great country, the artist shows this in the works presented here. Angela is currently an undergraduate at Curtin University studying for a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Visual Culture.

The diversity of local flora and fauna inspires the artist to capture its beauty on canvas, whether that is in the garden when flowers are blooming or visiting the rugged wilderness of the Grampians.
